Palworld players rack up unbelievable number of years of game time

It’s no secret that Palworld has been immensely popular since it exploded onto the scene at the start of 2024, with players flooding onto the servers quickly making the survival game one of the biggest hitters of the year.

However, now we’ve got an idea of just much time players have been spending in the game at least so far as on Steam, as players continue to build their bases, collect Pals and see everything this game has to offer – even faster than the devs can keep up.

According to Steamcharts, players have spent more than 63,000 years in the game collectively – that’s 551,887,544 hours. The colossal figure almost stretches as far back as fossils have been found indicating when some of the oldest modern humans reached Australia.

It’s an absolutely enormous number – and doesn’t even take into consideration those who may be playing the game on Xbox consoles, or on PC through the Xbox App. We can only assume that number is likely way higher when those – including players who are playing via Xbox Game Pass – are taken into account.

The game’s popularity has taken a bump in recent days as players start to exhaust the existing content, with a notable player drop-off reporting an almost 40% falling of player numbers. But the devs are understanding of the drop off, and seemingly aren’t too worried just yet.

In fact – as we heard earlier today one dev has encouraged players to take a break from the game if they want, and reassured them that though the game “isn’t in a position to pump out massive amounts of new content on a weekly basis” that “content will come and it’s going to be awesome” – as long as fans have patience.

If this huge player number is anything to go by, Palworld’s fans certainly have plenty of that on their side.
