Publisher Prime Matter has announced that open world RPG Outward will come to consoles and PC in a new Definitive Edition this May.

The game originally launched in early access on PC around 2019. It promises an “immersive RPG experience coupled with survival gameplay” with players trying to survive in the world of Aurai. They’ll have to contend with deadly creatures and hazardous conditions alike. They’ll visit cities, take on missions and explore hidden dungeons as they do so. What’s more is that they can do this solo or in co-op.

For the game’s Definitive Edition, Prime Matter are bundling in two of the game’s DLCs. Along with The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans, there’ll also be new content, a bunch of quality of life updates and balance adjustments. Some of these include the ability to access your stash when in another player’s world.

Crafting is also being made more accessible, and the corruption hazard mechanic previously exclusive to the DLC will now appear throughout the world. Players who already own the base game and The Three Brothers DLC on PC will be able to get The Definitive Edition upgrades for free.

Outward: Definitive Edition will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC this May. You can check out a Developer Vision trailer for the game down below.
