The Division, Ubisoft’s upcoming shooter RPG, will not feature any microtransactions that allow users to fast-track their experience, Ubisoft Massive’s creative director Magnus Jansen has told VG247.
“You cannot spend a little bit of money and fast-track to get better gear or pay to win or vanity items. We do not have that. The short answer is no, we don’t have microtransactions, period,” said Jansen.
Ubisoft’s ambitious game will get DLC in the future, but the studio isn’t talking about it at this time.
The Division enters beta for Xbox One users on January 28 before opening up to PS4 and PC players. It’s due for release on all three platforms on March 8.
