Nintendo has dropped a new overview trailer for next month’s upcoming release of Nintendo Switch Sports.
The latest footage breaks down each individual sport you’ll get to enjoy in the package. The action takes place in a facility known as Spocco Square. There, you’ll get to enjoy a range of sports including Volleyball, Badminton, Bowling, Soccer, Chambara and Tennis. Each one uses the console’s Joy-Con motion controller in different ways.
There’s been some updates to those sports returning from Wii Sports too. For example, Bowling now includes the option of special lanes with obstacles dotted around to try and navigate with your best shots. Chamabara meanwhile, last seen in Wii Sports Resort, now lets you choose from three possible sword types, including dual-wielding twin swords.
There’s some brand new multiplayer features too. You’ll be able to matchmake with random players to play many of the sports online. They include Survival Bowling where 16 players all bowl at once, and Soccer where you can compete in four-on-four matches. There’ll be a ranking system tracking your performance, with the best players invited to play in the Pro Ranks. You’ll also earn points for playing online, which can net you cosmetics for your Sports Mii character.
Check out the trailer for yourself below. Nintendo Switch Sports will arrive on April 29 exclusively on the Switch. A seventh sport, Golf, will also be added in a future update this Fall.
