A new Groups feature has been added to Nintendo Switch thanks to a software update available today.
The feature comes as part of the latest 14.0.0 update, as per the Nintendo Support website. The much-requested feature allows players to create folders or Groups of games on the All Software menu. It’s handy for those with large numbers of games stored on the console, making them easier to find and tidying things up.
A handy how-to guide on Nintendo’s website shows how easy it is to set up. Just head right on the home menu until you can select All Software. Then hit the left shoulder button to see your games by group. If you’ve not made any yet, you’ll then be prompted to create one, which you can name whatever you like. Players can make up to 100 groups with a maximum of 200 titles per group. Furthermore, the same software can be added to multiple groups, so if you want to create by genre and if Mario’s in there, knock yourself out.
Groups aren’t the solo new addition in this new update. The second addition in 14.0.0 now allows you to adjust the volume on Bluetooth audio devices either on the Switch or the device itself. The maximum volume output for some Bluetooth headsets has also been increased. If you’ve been finding things a bit quiet when using a wireless headset, it may be worth trying again.
The 14.0.0 system update for Nintendo Switch adding Groups should be available the next time you turn your console on.
The latest #NintendoSwitch update is now available, including a new feature to create groups for software on the console.
