Nintendo is getting ahead of the upcoming E3 rush by revealing more of the upcoming latest entry in its behemoth Pokemon franchise in a new Nintendo Direct next week.
The Nintendo Direct will take place on June 5 at 2pm UK time, and will have 15 minutes of new information on Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. It comes a few months after the last Pokemon Direct back during Pokemon Day in February that formally revealed the titles.
Significantly, it means this Direct lands a few days before the rest of Nintendo’s already announced E3 plans, so presumably that means the previously announced E3 Nintendo Direct presentation on June 11 will focus on other titles The Big N’s got lined up for the coming year.
Tune in on 05/06 at 14:00 (UK time) for roughly 15 minutes of new information on #PokemonSwordShield for #NintendoSwitch in a livestreamed #PokemonDirect presentation. pic.twitter.com/0OnQyKZCHS

Interestingly, the official Pokemon account has also tweeted that a seperate Pokemon Press Conference will also take place at 2am UK time tonight. Presumably, this won’t be Sword and Shield news, given the above, but it’ll be interesting to see what else is on the horizon for the franchise.
Got any plans tomorrow? You do now, Trainers!
We’ve got some exciting updates to share, and you know what that means: #PokemonPressConference!
