The highly anticipated NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams has been confirmed to feature a two-player mode and network support at launch – presumably meaning online support.

SEGA has also revealed that the Artificial Life (A-Life) feature first seen in NiGHTS: Into Dreams for the Saturn will feature in the new Wii game. This mode will give players the freedom to oversee and develop their own sandbox environment in which they can raise the inhabitants from the world of Nightopia.

In the original Saturn title A-Life involved Nightopians whose varying moods are tracked by the game. The game’s music changes to reflect the Nightopians’ mood, altering the tempo, pitch and melody. It was also possible to merge Nightopians with smaller Nightmaren enemies and create hybrid creatures called Mepian.

NiGHTS is currently without a confirmed release date.
