Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a mobile MMO, based on the world of established in the main games, and is out on May 25th.

The game has been available in Japan since June of last year, and pre-registration is now available around the world. It is out on ioS, Android, and PC, and it supports cross-play across all three platforms.

Check out the trailer below:

The description reads:

“The beautiful world of Ni no Kuni comes to life again in a fantastic new adventure. Dive into your new fantasy world. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds awaits you.”

In Cross Worlds, you can choose between five classes: Swordsman, Rogue, Engineer, Witch, and Destroyer. Each has its own perks and customisation options. It’s an intriguing proposition, making not just a mobile game but an MMO out of the series.

Developer Level-5 teamed up with Studio Ghibli for the first game, Wrath of the White Witch, on PlayStation 3. Studio Ghibli was not involved with the sequel, Revenant Kingdom.

In our review of the first game, Ian Dransfield said:

“It’s taken years of craft and—likely—a hell of a lot of money, but Ni no Kuni is a wonderful, wondrous experience and will keep you captivated and enchanted for dozens of hours.”
