It’s been an exciting start to the new year for fans of The Last of Us. HBO has officially confirmed the actor for Abby in season 2 of their live-action adaptation, and now the release date for Part 2 Remastered is right around the corner. This remaster comes with some new modes, additions, and improvements, and there’s also a bunch of new Abby and Ellie skins in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered to unlock. Some of the cosmetics look great, others look a bit whacky.
The release date for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is January 19th. It is only a $10 upgrade if you already own a digital version of the PS4 copy. Unfortunately, if you own a disced version of the PS4 game and have a discless PS5, you will need to buy Naughty Dog’s buffed product at full price. Fans have recently been upset over the cancellation of The Last of Us Online, but a return to the divisive Part 2 is appreciated compensation.
Arguably the best aspect of the package is the new modes and the ability to play as Joel. However, it also comes with other fine additions such as more skins for the opposing duo, Ellie and Abby.
New The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Abby and Ellie skins leaked
Reddit user Terriosss65 has leaked all of the new Abby and Ellie skins in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. They admit the quality of their post is poor as not all of the skins are unlocked and are thus faded against a dark backdrop. However, you can still make out all of the skins that can be purchased in Extras for each playable protagonist. Not only are Abby and Ellie getting new skins, but there are also some new outfits for Dina.
Judging by the screenshots, there are 14 outfits for Abby and 16 for Ellie. One of the Abby skins is really cool as it sort of resembles Furiosa from Mad Max Fury Road. She also has a whole additional wardrobe of t-shirts and jackets, as well as more vests for everyone who dares not cover her almighty biceps. As for Ellie, she has the best unlockable outfit of them all with the astronaut.
In addition to new attires, below are all the new modes and improvements for TLOU2 Remastered:
