A new version of Nintendo’s hit multiplayer title Splatoon will be bundled with the top tier Nintendo Switch – separately rumoured to cost £249 – when the system launches in March, reports Let’s Play Video Games.

Splatoon for Nintendo Switch will include a new 1vs1 mode, designed to offer quick matches ideal for handheld play. The report also notes that there will be additional single player content, plus regular free DLC as was the case with the Wii U game.

Another title available at launch will be the new Super Mario game, set in an open 3D world much like Mario 64 and Galaxy. The game will be ready for press to play when Nintendo next speaks about the Switch on January 13.

Also planned for day one is Skyrim Special Edition, complete with the same limited mod support offered on PS4.

LPVG also backs up yesterday’s report that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t be a launch game. The blog adds that the Wii U version will also arrive later in the year.
