Initially, there had only been three missions on offer for this year’s tactical co-op mode. But based on Call of Duty’s blog post and with the launch of Season 1, a new action-packed mission has now been included into its current list of options. If you’re looking to find out more about Modern Warfare 2’s latest Spec Ops offering, then we’ve got you covered.

MW2 New Spec Ops Mission

High Ground

High Ground is Modern Warfare 2’s new mission that foregoes any semblance of stealth and instead focuses on fast-paced action. It tasks players with finding and destroying enemy communication servers in order to retrieve three hard drives with vital enemy intel. The mission also gives operators their own specific roles throughout its duration.

One player will be responsible for piloting an Attack Chopper to clear out land mines that could possibly devastate the ground team. Another operator will then be working as part of a Ground Assault Team with AI allies to infiltrate enemy buildings.

Call of Duty’s latest post also recommends replaying this mission weekly in order to acquire the maximum amount of stars. Three Spec Ops stars can be earned from every mission which you can then use towards unlocking unique Kits. Keep in mind, though, that once you’ve obtained three stars for a specific mission, you’ll no longer be able to earn any more for that scenario until the following week.

The new Spec Ops mission is now included in Season 1 of MW2.
