Blizzard’s latest Diablo 4 patch has sadly nerfed the new Spiritborn class added in the recent Vessel of Hatred expansion. With the class’ evade system completely busted, Blizzard has fixed the overpowered class with a simple patch.

While this news could be upsetting, the same patch also includes overhauled rewards for the game’s Kurast Undercity, making runs far more rewarding than before.

Diablo 4 rewards improved

Releasing today on October 17, 2024, the new Diablo 4 2.0.3 patch improves the rewards dished out from the Undercity dungeon to be more, well, rewarding.

On launch, and even during the game’s PTR testing, Kurast Undercity runs were a cause of complaints due to low drop rates and poor quality loot. As one of the new locations for Vessel of Hatred, fixing its rewards was of utmost importance.

In response, the 2.0.3 patch for Diablo 4 is immediately tackling rewards in this area. Playing through the expansion-only dungeons will now result in doubled gold drops from enemies as well as an increased number of random item drops.

The best part of the Undercity revision is the introduction of a promised Legendary item for each run. While multiple legendaries can can drop, every run is now guaranteed to have at least one drop.

Enemies have been hit as well

Alongside revised rewards, the Kurast Undercity has also received huge enemy nerfs. Bosses that spawn in the dungeons will now be less tanks, as well as afflicted foes. Afflicted Elites and Super Elites will also spawn less regularly.

Mobs that boast an Extra Health buff have also been removed from the Undercity in the latest Diablo 4 update to make progression less difficult.

All in all, running through the Undercity should be easier, and also more rewarding. While some hardcore fans may be upset at the reduced difficulty, it seems the changes are good all around, especially following the middling campaign for Vessel of Hatred
