The amount of new content NBA 2K23 released for Season 6 is quite extensive. So in this feature, we will only cover the core details that fans should be aware of.

From MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and The W Online, here’s a look at what has arrived with Season 6 in NBA 2K23.

MyCAREER

As you set foot in The City or on The G.O.A.T. Boat in Season 6, you will notice right away the thematic artwork NBA 2K23 applied to the courts and surrounding layout in both neighborhood environments. But the heart and soul of a new season in MyCAREER, is that of its rewards ladder and what it has to offer.

For Season 6, NBA 2K23 is providing a whole lot. From new player banners to a handful of new jump shot meters, next generation users will also be able to acquire an awesome jetpack with new animations at Level 30 and a mini jet Glider at Level 40, whereas current generation players will be able to unlock a Goat Mascot at Level 40 instead.

If you’re big on apparel in MyCAREER, NBA 2K23 introduced two new real-world brands fans can get apparel from. These two brands include Homage Comic Collection and MAYDE, with Homage shirts highlighting NBA players as heroes, while MAYDE’s fashion-forward style caters a minimalist feel with their simple colored clothing items.

Last but not least, fans will also be able to get their hands on the second package of Core Badge Patterns. For those that don’t remember, NBA 2K23 introduced Core Badge Patterns (and it’s first set) in Season 3, allowing next-gen users to utilize and create specific badge patterns that are best for their playstyle. And in Season 6, the second collection of Core Badge Patterns is the Level 39 prize, and arguably the best prize from the rewards ladder. Down below are all the new Core Badge patterns:

  • 2 Finishing, 1 Shooting, 1 Defense
  • 2 Shooting, 1 Finishing, 1 Defense
  • 2 Playmaking, 1 Finishing, 1 Shooting
  • 2 Defense, 1 Shooting, 1 Playmaking

The biggest news with Season 6’s arrival for MyTEAM, is the return of Hero Cards. And right off the rip, fans can secure Shaquille O’Neal’s Hero Card just by logging into the MyTEAM Season 6 Menu. The neat part about Hero Cards, is that some are Evolutionary, including O’Neal. Though he starts as a Ruby, O’Neal can be evolved into a 94 Diamond, just by completing his Evolution requirements.

Should you power your way through the Season 6 MyTEAM rewards ladder to the final Level 40 tier, you will receive a 99 Dark Matter Hakeem Olajuwon card to anchor your lineup. This elite reward will be available for the next six weeks with the arrival of the new season, granting fans plenty of time to grind for it. Accompanying these new player items in Season 6, will be that of the Holographic, Unicorn, and Fire Basketball Cards, which will be earned by using Hero Cards.

In addition to all of these new cards, NBA 2K23 MyTEAM also provided a Ruby Sue Bird Head Coach Card that you can secure at Level 2 of the rewards ladder. Bird is one of 25 new WNBA Head Coach Cards you can unlock in MyTEAM with Season 6’s launch, introducing an important new change and addition for the community.

To accompany her new Head Coach Card, Bird also has her very own Signature Challenge, where you will need to face off against Stephen Curry, Dwayne Wade, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Shaquille O’Neal to earn some Diamond Shoe and and Hall Of Fame Badge rewards.
