As expected, NBA 2K23 included a whole lot of new content, features and changes in their new season, and there’s quite a bit to unpack. From fresh tropical apparel to awesome Level 40 rewards for MyCAREER and MyTEAM, fans will want to grind through Season 5 to unlock these exclusive prizes.

NBA 2K23: Season 5 New Content

MyCAREER

One of the biggest attractions for NBA 2K23, is that of MyCAREER and the countless items and prizes you can unlock from the rewards ladder that comes with each new season. Well Season 5, unsurprisingly, didn’t disappoint one bit, and comes baring plenty for fans to earn.

To make you feel at home, NBA 2K23 is rewarding fans a snazzy Hawaiian shirt upon reaching Level 10 to enjoy the warm-weather energy that Season 5 will cater. Once you reach Level 35, you will receive an elite new pair of the Nike Ja 1 shoes that you can rock within The City or on The G.O.A.T. Boat. And finally, the ultimate prize at Level 40 in MyCAREER is that of a snazzy Pocket Bike that will allow you to cruise around your respective neighborhood settings with no problem.

Lastly, fans can acquire some new exclusive designer clothing items as well, with the highlight being the collaborative clothing drop of Amsterdam-based brand Daily Paper along with Dreamville. From new varsity jackets, hoodies, and more, this designer project from Daily Paper, as 2K states, “draws inspiration from its founders’ African heritage to create contemporary fashion.”

MyTEAM

The centerpiece and cover star of Season 5, is that of Miami Heat shooting guard, Tyler Herro. And as you can imagine, Herro is the Season 5 Level 40 Dark Matter MyTEAM reward you can unlock. This, however, will require you to earn a whopping 150,000 XP in MyTEAM, making for a tough but worthwhile grind to secure this budding South Beach star.

Along your way to unlocking Herro and more in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM, fans can also receive a Free Agent LeBron James card right upon entering the Season 5 menu. That said, these are only two of the 400 new card fans will be able to acquire in MyTEAM in Season 5.

Moreover, this wave of 400 new cards set to come in Season 5 includes the NBA 2K23: Series 2 collection, a program fans will want to get their hands on. This fantastic new series went live with Season 5’s launch, and features current NBA stars with updated player ratings and teams following the trade deadline and NBA All-Star break – with some of the superstars consisting of Galaxy Opals.

The Series 2 collection is available in the Pack Market as well as the Auction House. Should you complete each set, players can earn 30 new Pink Diamond Collection Complete Rewards comprising of a current player from that franchise. Lastly, some of these new Series 2 collection cards are available to acquire through Domination Tiers as well, providing multiple ways to reap these awesome new stars.
