As you play NBA 2K23 more and more, you’ll start to notice the impact strong defense can have for your team or player. However, a skill that’s as equally important to master if you want to enforce disruptive defense play, is blocking. Additional Tips: As it pertains to so many things in NBA 2K23, timing is a major factor to keep in mind when executing good blocks. If you’re a hair early, you could get faked out and allow your opponent to score. And if you’re too late, your opponent could shoot over you.

In addition, proximity is also really important, especially for chase-down blocks. If you’re not close enough to the ball handler, your blocking attempt will merely serve as a shot contest at best.

To get a good feel for how to block, we recommend trying it out with some of the best rated players in the game that will grant you a chance to learn and master the move.
