2K has dropped the first full trailer for NBA 2K23 ahead of a promised gameplay reveal set for later this week.

As we previously learned, Devin Booker will be sharing cover duties this time around with Michael Jordan and Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird. Who’ll grace your cover will depend on which version of the game you get, with perhaps the most famous player in the history of the sport getting his own bespoke Edition.

Jordan will also be front and centre of this year’s The Jordan Challenge mode. Players will get 15 iconic moments from the superstar’s career. It follows a similar mode in NBA 2K11, with all ten of those challenges recreated from the ground up. They’ll be joined by five new iconic moments, taking advantage of the technical improvements in the decade since that game. There’ll also be unique video vignettes with commentary from Jordan’s peers, opponents and NBA luminaries who were there at the time.

2K has promised it’ll reveal more gameplay information, including NBA 2K23‘s new features, in a Courtside Report later this week. Our Josh is a big fan of the NBA 2K series, and you can read his musings on that here. NBA 2K23, meanwhile, arrives on September 9 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Check out the NBA 2K23 first look trailer below.
