Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players on Xbox are finding themselves unable to join games in a party of four players or more thanks to a nasty bug.

The bug appears to have reared its head over the weekend, after a previous bug affecting the game’s crossplay options were seemingly fixed.

The bug sees players in a party of three or more unable to join a game from the in-game menu if they’re in an Xbox Party together.

When trying to join a game, they’re left staring at the matchmaking screen before being met with an ‘unable to connect’ error, understandably causing a lot of frustration.

The good news is that Infinity Ward appear to be aware of the bug, as it’s been noted on the game’s Trello board.

At the time of writing, however, no ETA on a fix has been given, nor has a workaround been offered.

For the time being, at least, it seems players on Xbox will have to keep their parties at 2 or less – thankfully, it doesn’t seem to be effecting other formats, including PlayStation and PC,  at this time.

As you can imagine, Infinity Ward will no doubt be looking to solve this particular bug ASAP – we’ll keep you in the loop should we heard of any updates.
