While details were slim – they are still promoting Season 2 after all – it gave fans a tantalising glimpse of what they can expect in the road ahead.

First off, Season 2 Reloaded will bring a ‘New Core 6v6 Multiplayer Map’ to the game – although no more detail was given at this time.

The mid-season Season 2 update will also bring along with it a brand new episode for the game’s Raid mode, and some new modes for MW2 Multiplayer to go with the already confirmed Infected, Gun Game and more arriving at the start of Season 2.

Then, in Season 3 – players can look forward to the return of Gunfight. This 2V2 fast-paced modes challenges both teams to kill each other within 40 seconds – or capture a flag.

A couple of Warzone 2 updates also look set to be introduced in Season 3 – with Plunder and Warzone Ranked both earmarked for Season 3.

The former saw players hunt down cash for all manner of objectives – lying around, kills, completing contracts and more – with the winning team being the squad that bags the most cash.

Warzone Ranked, meanwhile, is sure to be popular with those who want to prove their Battle Royale mettle against the best the world has to offer.

At the time of writing, it’s not exactly clear when we can expect Season 2 Reloaded or indeed Season 3 – but judging on the past season we expect them to arrive within 6 and 12 weeks respectively.

Regardless, it’s looking like MW2 and Warzone 2 fans have plenty to look forward to. We’ll update when we find out more.
