The arrival of MW2 and Warzone 2 has brought plenty of enjoyable features to the fray for both new and old players alike. But much like previous series releases, these are still titles that are often susceptible to data leaks.

Following the trend of recent news, it seems another leak has come to light. This time, it centers around the upcoming second season of MW2 and Warzone 2. Although there are still weeks left until Season 2 starts, CoD data miners are already busy uncovering its contents.

Apparently, the next chapter will be Japanese-themed as the images that were recently leaked show a familiar looking Operator and location. The first image shows a character that veteran players may already be aware of. Ronin, a figure introduced in the 2019 version of Modern Warfare, will seemingly be returning in the next season.

On the other hand, the second photo shows three characters located in the front while the background depicts a recognizable locale. The Castle map, which was first featured in World at War and subsequently in Vanguard, will also apparently be making an appearance if the leaks are to be believed.

You’ll need to take these photos with a grain of salt, however, because nothing’s been confirmed yet at this point. Since Infinity Ward an Activision are yet to issue an update regarding this leak, nothing yet is set in stone. However, we will continue to provide updates regarding the legitimacy of these photos as soon as we’ve received more information.

Season 2 of MW2 & Warzone 2 is expected to release on February 1, 2023. This prediction is based on the game’s Battle Pass page countdown timer, which ends on the same date.
