MW2 Season 3 maps list adds three new locations to 6v6 rotation

The MW2 Season 3 maps list will be bringing in three new locations, one of which is the highly-anticipated night vision map that the community has long been asking for. According to Infinity Ward, two of the latest additions will be introduced during the beginning of the season while the last one will be made available at some point throughout.

To give you an idea of the maps that are going to be introduced, we’ll be taking a closer look at each one below so you’ll have an idea of what they look like before they become available. So without further ado, here is the entire MW2 Season 3 maps list.

As mentioned before, there are a total of three maps that are being added, two of which will be available at the beginning of the season. There will similarly be two new Battle maps that are going to be introduced together

Pelayo’s Lighthouse (Core Map)

A sneak peek of this area was initially featured in FaZe Dirty’s play test of the upcoming Intervention sniper rifle. As you may have already gathered from its name, this area is located on an island that features a lighthouse as its main structure. There are also a few other buildings that can be found within its vicinity, all of which should be accessible for every player on the server.

Black Gold (Core Map)

The curiously named Black Gold area is the night vision map that everyone has been waiting for. Located in the Rohan Oil section of Al Mazrah, operators will be able to roam around the large, cluttered map freely while equipped with night vision goggles that may or may not be worn.

Alboran Hatchery (Core Map, In-Season Release)

The Alboran Hatchery is the third map that will be introduced at some point during the season. Unfortunately, no specific details have been provided yet by Infinity Ward. Based on the image provided, however, it looks like its immediate area will be littered with several industrial structures, which players should be able to get into to look for gun fights.

Rohan Oil (Battle Map)

Rohan Oil, which is mostly known as a section within Al Mazrah, has been given the Battle Map treatment. It now features a much wider area so more operators will be able to drop in and enjoy fragging out.

Sattiq Cave Complex (Battle Map)

The Sattiq Cave Complex is another familiar location that can be found to the south of Rohan Oil in Al Mazrah. Not only does it feature plenty of small structure and complex cave networks, but one of its areas also includes a downed plane that may be familiar to veterans of the CoD series.
