MW2 New Guns

Season 2 of MW2 is looking to be a thrilling one, and Infinity Ward are also boasting new weapons to the game, from Infinity Ward – these are:

• ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle
• KV Broadside Shotgun
• Dual Kodachis Melee Weapon
• Crossbow
• Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle
• Shuriken

MW2 Season 2 Weapons Explained

There are a total of five new weapons included with the launch of Season 2, three of which are available through the Battle Pass. However, you can also unlock most of them by completing a few challenges or by progressing through certain platforms.

So without further ado, here are all the new weapons that will be arriving with the second chapter:

ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle (Launch)

Don’t let its small stature fool you. The ISO Hemlock AR packs a punch and using it gives you an immediate advantage over certain weapons due to its rate of fire. This firearm can be unlocked by progressing through the ISO platform. However, you can also obtain it as a free weapon within the S2 Battle Pass.

KV Broadside Shotgun (Launch)

Shotguns have often been known as close-range harbingers of death and the KV Broadside is no different. Much like the new ISO AR, this weapon can be unlocked as a free weapon through the Battle Pass. Alternatively, you can earn it by progressing through the Kastov platform instead.

Dual Kodachis Melee Weapon (Launch)

Slice through the opposition with the lethal Dual Kodachis Melee Weapon. The length of each blade gives Operators a much farther strike range than the typical Knife. Keep in mind, though, that this particular piece of equipment can only be unlocked through the S2 Battle Pass.

Crossbow (Launch Window)

The fan-favorite Crossbow weapon returns in all its lethal glory. This specific firearm can be unlocked by completing all seven Path of the Ronin Event challenges. If you can’t be bothered to go through the gauntlet, you can purchase it via Store Bundle instead.

Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle (Midseason)

The Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle has now been added to the game’s growing arsenal. Boasting a fast-firing mechanism and impressive damage, this particular weapon packs a punch from both close- and long-range. Keep in mind, though, that eliminations with this firearm usually take two shots, so you may want to pair it with a powerful secondary gun.

Shuriken (Launch)

The Shuriken is a new piece of lethal equipment that’s available through Resurgence game modes. Unfortunately, this weapon won’t be available for custom loadouts until after Season 2 ends.
