The long-awaited extensive blog post for the release of the game’s sophomore season has finally been revealed ahead of its impending launch day. A plethora of important features are set to be included with the next major update, such as the return of Resurgence and the reintroduction of Ranked Play among others.

CoD veterans will especially enjoy the inclusion of the new Ashika Island map, which will be playable in the game’s battle royale and DMZ modes. The smaller locale promises faster matches and more heart-pumping action for operators that are willing to drop into it. It will also be featuring a new exclusive public event called Data Heist, which should raise the stakes even more for all players involved.

Thankfully, MW2’s Multiplayer mode was not forgotten as the developers have also decided to bring in a number of new elements to the popular in-game offering. This includes the addition of four exciting new maps, the most significant of which is the Valderas Museum location, that Core Mode and Ground War players will soon be able to deploy into.

Infinity Ward have also apparently decided to incorporate more enjoyable game modes in addition to the reintroduction of Infected and Gun Game. Grind Mode and Hardcore playlist will similarly be available at launch, with the former being a high-stakes variant of Kill Confirmed. More offerings will also be added throughout the course of the season such as Drop Mode, All or Nothing, and One in the Chamber so players will have something to look forward to all throughout its duration.

A wide array of exciting features and modes are finally going to be introduced to MW2 and Warzone 2, which should satisfy the disillusioned community. Now that only a few days are left before its release, players will be able to fully prepare themselves before it graces gaming consoles worldwide on February 15.
