Mutant Storm for the Xbox 360 is set to appear in the Xbox 360 Live Arcade at the launch of the new console, with the full sequel not due until the second half of 2006, presumably also to be released through the Xbox 360 Live Arcade.

Naturally, we are delighted to be working with Microsoft on this ambitious new project. Writing for a platform as powerful as Xbox 360 is allowing us to put in features and ideas for the game which just weren’t possible previously,” said Miles Visman of PomPom Software. “We’re looking forward to delivering the best ever version of Mutant Storm

Ross Erickson of Microsoft enthused, “Not only are we excited about this news, but we know our gamers will be equally enthusiastic. Mutant Storm’s popularity is only growing and we look forward to offering this fantastic new title on Xbox 360.”

This is recognition by one of the biggest companies in the world that small independent developers still have a valuable commercial contribution to make at the top table of the interactive entertainment industry,” said John Cook of Bad Management, PomPom’s representative.

Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade seems to be a good way for smaller developers to get their games into the homes of gamers around the world. We’ll bring you more news on PomPom’s games later in the year.
