Mortal Kombat 1 developer NetherRealm Studios has now provided us with yet another look at their future plans for the upcoming beat ’em up installment as their Kombat Pack DLC trailer has revealed the additions of a few superheroes and series regulars to the roster.
Mere weeks after a number of leaks surfaced throughout various social media sites, the recently released preview now confirms the legitimacy of the previous rumors that Homelander, Omni-Man, and Peacemaker would be part of the game as all three were shown towards the end of the short clip. However, these aren’t the only fighters that the community is getting excited for as Quan-Chi, Ermac, and Takeda are also set to be introduced as part of this expansion.
Of course, with the Mortal Kombat 1 Umgadi trailer featuring Li Mei, Tanya, Baraka, and Darrius having been shown earlier on, this is just the cherry on top for fans of the ever-present fighting game series as most of the characters that are set to be introduced have noticeably been excluded from the main cast in the past installment. A commenter under the official Kombat Pack roster reveal trailer named VixtarTorrex-Gomex even said: “Quan-Chi, Ermac, and Takeda are back! I missed them since MKX!”
With all of these names now being brought in to the Mortal Kombat 1 characters list, the final roster is nicely starting to take shape ahead of its impending release date. It’s still worth noting, though, that with opening day still relatively far off, there may even be more fighter announcements set to be exhibited soon so MK fans should keep their eyes peeled for more tidbits in the near future.
While you wait, though, check out the official Kombat Pack roster reveal trailer for yourself below so you can get a closer look at the fighters that are arriving in the near future.
