EA has today announced the continuation of the MySims series with the 2009 release of MySims Party and MySims Racing for Nintendo DS and Wii.

“When we created the MySims world, we believed that the MySims characters could be part of a variety of different gaming experiences. We are thrilled to bring MySims Party and MySims Racing to fans and new players alike.” said Tim LeTourneau, Executive in Charge of Production for MySims.

MySims Party will offer a collection of mini-games. In the Wii game players will be able to choose from 50 games, each hosted by a different MySim. Games will include extreme snowboarding, Robo Assault and Go Go Dancing. Each MySim will bring a unique combination of skills to the game, with differing levels of endurance, speed and luck. Mini-games can be tackled individually, or players can get together with friends to take part in themed festivals, such as food, music and sports.

On the DS MySims Party will feature 40 mini-games specific to the DS. These will include digging up dinosaur fossils, first-person shooting and air guitar.

MySims Racing will see the loveable MySims hitting the track and taking on opponents on a huge variety of exotic tracks. In the Wii game up to four players can take part in multiplayer racing, picking up power-ups such as the heat-seeking jack-o-lantern pumpkin or a bubble dropper which can be used to slow down the opposition. On the DS players will be able to join up with three other friends for multiplayer mayhem over a local wireless connection and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

MySims Party and MySims Racing are scheduled for release in 2009.
