Capcom has released the latest update for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, adding a new co-op quest, new monsties and more.

The big addition in the free update is a co-op exclusive quest to take down the fearsome Kulve Taroth. An intimidating elder dragon covered in a coat of metal, you’ll need to team up with a friend to take them down. Do so, however, and you’ll be able to nab some special materials that you can use to forge powerful equipment.

Elsewhere in this update are two more Monsties that can join your party. These include the Boltreaver Astalos and the Hellblade Glavenus. There’s also a number of new quests added, including co-op quests The Goddess of Gold, Fire Eggs, Thunder Eggs and Delivery quest Dealin’ for Dunkers. Later on, on August 19, seven more quests will also be added to the game.

It’s the second in a series of free updates for the game, which launched last month. There’s at least five updates planned between now and October, which will added new Monsties, more exclusive Co-Op quests and more. You can check out a trailer for the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin update, which is available to download from today.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is available now for the Nintendo Switch and PC. We were quite fond of the game, with Josh giving it a score of 8 in his review.
