Capcom has dropped a video for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak showcasing the first Lucent Nargacuga gameplay.
The fearsome beast arrives in the game in the expansion’s first major title update this August. With the ability to vanish into thin air, even experienced Hunters will have to keep on their toes. They won’t even be the only new monster, as players will also have to contend with the Seething Bazelegeuse too, alongside a new locale known as the Forlorn Arena.
It’ll be the first in a planned three title updates for the expansion for 2022. The next two updates are planned for Fall and Winter respectively, and will added new rare species and subspecies monsters. Just as we saw with the parent game, there’ll be new challenges to take these beasts down, and rewards to earn. While not guaranteed, Capcom has teased the “possibility of further updates” going into 2023 as well. All these updates are free for existing Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak owners.
It’s a very generous offering for the expansion, which has already proven immensely popular with fans. Earlier this month, Capcom released free DLC to celebrate two million copies sold in its first week. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC, and Title Update 1 drops this August.
