Mojang’s Scolls, a card collecting game, has now sold over 100,000 copies in its beta phase, developer Henrik Pettersson has revealed.
“100K Scrolls games sold! WOOHOOO!” Pettersson wrote on Twitter.
Scrolls launched in beta back in June and asks gamers to part with $20 in order to play, much in the same way that Mojang’s Minecraft handled sales.
This means the card game has generated revenue of over $2 million.
Scrolls has some way to go if it is to come anywhere near the monumental achievement of Minecraft, a game which has now sold over 20 million copies.
