Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) campaign missions list – November 2022

Well, Modern Warfare 2 campaign mode has been released for just about 24 hours and I finally got off work, downloaded the game, and played through the campaign mode, initially on regular mode, although I will be going through it again in hardened mode.

For those who are wondering how many campaigns there are and how long each mission takes, please allow me to explain below.

MW2 campaign mission list

In total there are 17 missions in Modern Warfare 2, these consist of:

• Kill or Capture 
• Wetwork
• Tradecraft
• Borderline
• Cartel Protection
• Close Air
• Hardpoint
• Recon By Fire
• Violence And Timing
• El Sin Nombre
• Dark Water
• Alone
• Prison Break
• Hindsight
• Ghost Team
• Countdown

Now, how long they take to complete really depends on a few things, namely which game mode you choose, how good you are at the game, and of course how quick you want to play through each mission.

For me, playing in regular mode, took approximately 6-7 hours in total, admittedly I died a few times (yes, even in regular mode) and on a few missions, I had a handful of bugs (black screen, AI spawning in the wrong place, AI car knocking me off the mission).

Below you will find a few extra details about each of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign missions including the approximate time it takes to complete each mission and the completion rewards.
