Now that Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 has finally arrived, a new batch of bundles has come along with it, but most fans aren’t exactly pleased with what’s been presented so far. Even though several unique skin designs have been added this time around, some players have described the latest costumes as “f***cking awful” and that the developers “really dropped the ball with cosmetics and operators.”

Of course, this type of player reaction isn’t exactly surprising after Infinity Ward and Activision were recently caught reusing skin designs in the Blackcell battle pass. Because of this, one particularly disgruntled user named reevoknows decided to share a comment on Reddit saying that they “wish it was like Fortnite” so they’d actually buy something.

Most of the scathing responses under the same Reddit thread share the same sentiment and are further evidence of the community’s growing discontent with the Modern Warfare 2 bundles on offer. It is worth noting, though, that a The Boys crossover is set to grace the latest CoD installment soon, but even that may not be enough to please the frustrated player base.

Now, with the large amount of pop culture-related collaborations that have been introduced with the Epic Games battle royale so far, it only makes sense that players want to see the same items in their own game as it would make playing through matches even more entertaining. Despite the fact that a Darth Vader skin would stick out like a sore thumb in the Modern Warfare 2 environment, it would undoubtedly give some players more incentive to get back into the latest installment.

Unfortunately, we may not be seeing too many more cosmetics in the future as the release date of the new 2023 CoD installment continues to approach. But since the next entry won’t be arriving until the end of the year, we suggest taking a look at our guides on the best ranked play loadouts and best Cronen Squall loadout in the meantime so you can take out your frustration on the opposition.
