Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition should be released at some point between now and September, Mojang has said.

“We’re aiming for Q2/Q3,” confirmed Mojang’s Owen Hill on the PlayStation Blog comments.

Hill also offered some info on the possibility of supporting Cross-buy and Cross-save:

“We’ll have more news on cross-buy/upgrade options soon!” wrote Hill. “I understand that the wait is frustrating, but we don’t want to make false promises.”

He added: “The plan is to enable users to transfer from PS3 to PS4. We’re still working out how it’ll work with the Vita version.”

Minecraft is also coming to Xbox One, though no release date has been announced.
