Kalypso Media has announced that tennis sim Matchpoint – Tennis Championships will now launch on July 7, 2022.

The publisher also revealed thanks to a new trailer that the game will also be launching on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass from Day One. If you missed the original announcement, Matchpoint promises to offer an authentic take on the sport. You’ll be able to take part in a whopping 65 tournaments across 26 stadiums.

You’ll be able to fully customise your character before you take them onto the courts, choosing their looks, fashion and play style. As you play, you’ll get to unlock special equipment from real life tennis brands like YONEX, HEAD and more. And if that’s not to your fancy, the game will feature real life tennis stars too, including Nick Kyrgios, Amanda Anisimova and more.

The game supports both local and online multiplayer, or you can take on the AI solo. And if you just want to get some practice in, the game also features an in-game coaching system with plenty of modules to sharpen your skills with. There’s also a bunch of mini games for you to further perfect your performance.
