Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in for a January treat, with some cracking additions for the first few weeks of the year.

As per the Xbox Wire, we kick right off today with three additions, including gorgeous arty-puzzler Gorogoa. It’s joined by adventure Olija and side-scrolling puzzler The Pedestrian, and all three games are on Console, PC and the Cloud.

Things heat up quite literally later this week, with Embr offering co-operative fire fighting fun for you and friends on January 6. Then, an absolute megaton drops in the form of one of Producer Dan’s picks from the Videogamer Podcast’s Games of the Year. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is the whole space opera trilogy and its DLC bundled up, given a 4K spruce up and given to you for no extra charge for your subscription. If that wasn’t enough space shenanigans, the stellar Outer Wilds also returns on the same day.

Next week, slick platforming sequel Spelunky 2 arrives on Console and PC. That’s on January 13, the same day as co-op shooter The Anacrusis from former Portal writer Chet Faliszek’s studio Stray Bombay. And that completes the line-up for the first half of January. Quite the selection to be getting on with.

There’s a couple of notable titles leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15, including Kingdom Hearts III, which you can see below.

  • Desperados III (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Ghost of a Tale (PC)
  • Kingdom Hearts III (Console)
  • Mount & Blade: Warband (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Pandemic (Console and PC)
  • Yiik: A Postmodern RPG (PC)

Also note that PUBG: Battlegrounds will leave the service on January 10, but that’s because it’s going free-to-play from January 12.  As always, there’s more details including perks on the Xbox Wire.
