Insomniac Games has announced they’re working on another superhero adventure in the form of Marvel’s Wolverine for the PlayStation 5.

It seems to be early days yet, with just a teaser shown during this week’s PlayStation Showcase. However, a PlayStation Blog post reveals that the project is being led by Brian Horton, who was creative director on the studio’s previous superhero offering Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Development is said to be in the early stages. But we’re teased by PlayStation Studios’ Herman Hulst that we can expect an “emotional and suspenseful journey” into the character of Logan/Wolverine. The last time the adamantium mutant had his own solo offering was in 2009’s surprisingly decent movie-tie in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

There’s no date for the game just yet, and it may be a way off. The studio also announced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 during the broadcast, dating that game for a 2023 release on PlayStation 5. Hopefully, we’ll hear more on this project soon. Wolverine’s been quite busy himself in games this week, also showing up in 2K’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns gameplay.
