Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has officially been announced through a length blog post from PlayStation. Their announcement, which highlighted some of the popular upcoming titles in 2023, immediately displayed the latest entry from Insomniac Games at the very beginning.

According to the press release, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is expected to release in Fall 2023. With most notable launches occurring between October and November, we can probably expect the game to drop during these months.
The third installment in this web-slinging franchise brings back the iconic protagonists of the previous titles. Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be returning together, this time to face an all-new threat. Based on the reveal trailers that have already been made available to the public, the main antagonists are going to be Venom and Kraven.

Both titles in Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man franchise have been universally praised for its creative world-building, well-written plotlines, and smooth gameplay. Because of the success of these entries, players all over the world are understandably excited to get their hands on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Unfortunately, it seems like this title will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 so those playing on any other console will most likely have to wait until it releases on their platform. Those on PlayStation 4 will also not be able to play it as it will only be available on its current-gen counterpart.
Last time around, it took over two years for Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales to be ported to Windows systems. With this in mind, PC players may be stuck waiting for a similar amount of time if acquiring a PS5 is out of the question.
