Marvel’s Avengers, the multiplayer action brawler from developer Crystal Dynamics, could be getting She-Hulk.

The news comes from an official Xbox livestream (via VGC), on which guest host Techniq was playing and speaking about the game. Techniq says that he knows the person who is voicing She-Hulk in the game:

“You want a funny fact about She-Hulk? I don’t know if I can say this. . . I’ll just say this. I don’t like the face Brian is making, maybe I shouldn’t say it.”

Then Techniq, presumably putting the face of Brian (Waggoner, the game’s new lead designer) out of his mind, said:

“My acting coach is actually the voice of She-Hulk. And I won’t say her name because I don’t know if that was public knowledge yet. I think it is? It was announced?”

Then Waggoner explains that no such announcement was made: “Nope. We’ve never announced She-Hulk. We’ve. . . we don’t announce things. . . you know.”

And Techniq recants:

“Oh. Then never mind. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but hopefully. . . hopefully the source will be right.”

Marvel’s Avengers was a decent video game. In VideoGamer’s review, I said:

“By way of further longevity, Crystal Dynamics has served up a stream of multiplayer missions, and thus raised the question that hangs, like a cloud, over the A-Day of the game’s launch. Is there enough here—be it objectives, motivations, or variety—to spin out over an open-ended span, to wage an infinity war against the likes of, say, Destiny 2?”
