Marvel Rivals Experiences Major Comeback as Player Count Explodes

Releasing a PvE mode in Marvel Rivals has turned out to be a fantastic move, as it has positively affected the player count. The player base has been shrinking for more than nine months, as the game has found its footing. Now, it’s going back up, with peaks of at least 100,000 concurrent players on Steam every day.

Since the Marvel Zombies mode has come out, the hero shooter player count has seen an increase of more than 50%. With more PvE modes coming to Marvel Rivals in the future, the community has a lot to look forward to.

What is the current Marvel Rivals Player Count?

Marvel Rivals peaked in January 2025, only a few weeks after its release. It reached a peak of 642,333 players on Steam, which is very impressive. However, the player count had been going down since then, up until the release of the PvE mode on October 23.

Before this amazing game mode, Marvel Rivals peaked at 75,000 to 82,000 concurrent players on the platform. Since then, this number hasn’t dropped under 100,000 on any day. In fact, the game had more than 126,000 concurrent players less than 24 hours after the zombies mode went live.

When compared to the peak, these numbers may not look impressive. However, the truth is that the game is still doing great and has a bright future. It’s important to note that the number of Steam players is just one of the factors of the game’s popularity. Marvel Rivals is also available on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as the current-generation Xbox consoles.

Marvel Rivals offers a free skin during the event as well, and it will be available until the release of Season 5, which is scheduled for November 14.
