Marvel Rivals rarely has server outages and NetEase does an incredible job communicating with players regarding server downtimes and incoming patches well in advance. Whether it’s a new event like the Spring Festival or a mid-season update like the latest Season 1.5, Marvel Rivals servers are taken offline for a few hours until players are able to play the game once again and access new content.
However, it’s quite rare when servers are down unusually or face disruptions in their performance without scheduled maintenance. A similar outage occurred on February 25, 2025, when Marvel Rivals servers faced issues between 04:00 UTC for a few hours. Numerous player reports poured in on Down Detector as it took a while for servers to come back online.
As a result of such disruption, NetEase has now offered an apology to players and a compensation of 200 units to claim. Here’s how you can get it.
Marvel Rivals grant free 200 units to everyone as compensation for server outage, but there’s a catch
Marvel Rivals is now granting 200 units to players as compensation for the server outage that occurred for a brief while. They posted the news on X and wrote, “Hey Rivals, Servers are back up! Sorry for the inconvenience. As a token of our appreciation for your patience, we’ve credited your account with 200 units as compensation.”
However, to claim the units, all you need to do is log into the game and claim your compensation from the in-game mail by clicking on the icon on the top right of your screen. Inside the inbox, click on the latest message with free units and click on Claim.
Once you do that, a 200 Units Acquired screen will pop up and it will add up to your current Units balance. But keep in mind, this compensation is only available to claim until March 12, 2025, 00:00 UTC+0. So make sure to get the free units as soon as possible.
