Luigi's Mansion will launch for 3DS on October 19, Nintendo of Europe has announced.

In case you missed it, Luigi's Mansion was announced at E3 back in June, and is essentially a revamped version of the original GameCube launch title starring Mazza's lanky brother. It features some extra content, including a Boss Rush mode and bottom screen map display.

Other than that, it's pretty much Luigi's Mansion as you remember it, albeit in pocket form. To be fair, that's no bad thing; the original game was great, and one of Ninty's most underrated gems.

While it wasn't obviously on par commercially with Mario's mainline titles, it found a big enough audience to get a sequel in the shape of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon on 3DS back in 2013.

Still, hopefully Nintendo will see fit to bring the series back to home consoles at some point in the future, eh?
