CI Games and Hexworks have finally announced their Lords of the Fallen DLC release date and start time, which is set to bring plenty of new seasonal content to the hit Soulslike RPG. According to the developers, they’ll be splitting the additional content into two parts, with the first being a festive update they’ve entitled the Offerings of Orius. On the other hand, CI Games have called the second part the Trial of the Three Spirits, which brings all-new questlines, armor sets, and weapons to the game.
Of course, if you’ve been following the news surrounding the game closely, you may already be familiar with some of the upcoming changes after the dev team revealed them through the Lords of the Fallen roadmap. Lords of the Fallen DLC release date
The Lords of the Fallen Trial of the Three Spirits DLC release date will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The developers launched the first content update, Offerings of Orius, a week earlier, on December 14, 2023. Despite these being part of the game’s Season of Revelry, each one introduces a slew of changes, with the latter focusing on themed content while the former contains post-game expansions.
Lords of the Fallen DLC start time prediction
The Lords of the Fallen Trial of the Three Spirits DLC start time will likely begin at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM GMT on December 21, 2023. Though CI Games or Hexworks has yet to confirm this, this was the same window when the developers released Offerings of Orius, so we don’t expect the launch window to change moving forward. However, if the devs do end up moving the start time, we’ll be sure to update this page with the latest information, so stay tuned.
What is in the Lords of the Fallen DLC?
According to CI Games and Hexworks, the Lords of the Fallen Trials of the Three Spirits DLC will include three new questlines, armor sets, and weapons. Each piece of equipment represents one of the three gods in Orius, Adyr, and the Umbral, but before you can use them, you’ll have to overcome “some arduous ordeals.” Unfortunately, what these ordeals are remains unclear as of writing, so you’ll just have to wait and see until the day of the update’s release.
In addition to these new items, the developers are introducing the ability to reset your character’s appearance. Once available, you’ll be able to change your avatar’s name, body shape and gender, skin tone, hair color, and other physical attributes. However, you will have to “complete a new quest to find the shards of the Mirror of Distortion” before you can access this feature.
Last but not least, the developers are also bringing in new Grievous Attacks, a new 2,000-item Storage Box at the Skyrest Bridge Coffer, Gamepad Rebind, and the ability to throw snowballs as part of this update. Conversely, the previous update, Offerings of Orius, saw CI Games introduce new spells, new projectiles, new boss weapon abilities, and seasonal decorations at launch.
