The upcoming Nintendo Switch release of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection has been delayed to later this year.
As per the game’s official Twitter, the collection was set to release alongside the other formats this February. “However, we are sorry to share that the Nintendo Switch versions of the games have been a little set back and will need a bit more time until they are ready”. As a result, the Switch versions will now arrive “later this year”.
We weren’t offered more detail on the reason for the delay than that, and an exact date wasn’t given. The collection is set to include an enhanced version of the entire original first season of Life is Strange from 2015. The package also includes prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm, also enhanced with new features. Neither Life is Strange game has appeared on the Nintendo Switch previously.
It’s the second such delay for the collection, which was intended to release alongside last year’s Life is Strange: True Colors. However, the Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Google Stadia versions are unaffected this time around. They’re still expected to land on February 1. We’re promised an extended look at the Life is Strange Remastered Collection and its enhancements this coming Tuesday.
