There are a few things in life that people never really outgrow. Things such as one’s love for jelly, old classic games such as Final Fantasy, and, of course, Lego. It should definitely please people then that Lego has recently announced a massive 2,000+ piece Lego Super Mario set for adults of the one and only Mighty Bowser.

The Lego Mighty Bowser set is due to release this coming October 1st, and is Lego’s biggest Super Mario release to date, coming in at an incredible 2,807 bricks, which is about a third of the size of the massive Millenium Falcon that they released! The Lego Super Mario: The Mighty Bowser set boasts a controllable Bowser head, body and tail and can even shoot a fireball… well, not a real one, of course!

Its only drawback is the whopping $269.99 price point! Oof! Or, if you’re suitably British, like us, that price equates to £229.99. That makes it the most expensive singular Super Mario set to date, outpricing the previously most expensive Nintendo Entertainment System console set, which was – and still is – £199.99. That, incidentally, was the previous largest set as well, with 2,646 pieces!

The Mighty Bowser set joins the likes of the NES console, the Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block and a load of Super Mario Starter Courses in its Super Mario range. And of course, Peach, to name but a few as well! This one puts all of those to shame though with its size and sheer scale.

Check it out in the video below, it’s pretty damn impressive. Time to start saving, eh?
