Bandai Namco has announced that it’ll be releasing block-based multiplayer brawler Lego Brawls on consoles later this summer.

The game, which originally launched as an Apple Arcade exclusive in 2019, will be getting upgrades for its console release.  In true Lego style, payers will be able to customise their own minifig fighters, which they’ll then put against each other to brawl on large, Lego-themed stages. Along the way, they’ll unlock more minifigs, power-ups and emotes based on fan-favourite Lego sets like Ninjago, pirates, space and many others. Think Smash Bros with Lego, and you’re on the right lines.

Expect weapons of all shapes and sizes, like baguettes, pie cannons and even boomboxes and rocket fists. There’ll be a wealth of game modes and win-conditions too, playable in many configurations. You’ll be able to play co-op between two to four players online or in eight player adversarial modes. Local multiplayer is also supported, with up to eight players on the Switch and Xbox and four on the PlayStation. Naturally, there’ll be local and online leaderboards for bragging rights too.
