With Team Fortress 2’s summer 2023 update players have been flocking back to the squad-based shooter in huge numbers. Just last week Team Fortress 2 set a new all-time player count of over 250,000 players. However, the one thing fans are all focusing on is the brand-new seal that has been added to the game.

The latest mode, Selbyen, to be added to Team Fortress 2 as part of the game’s summer 2023 update allows teams of players to feed a hungry seal with buckets of fish and fans are loving it. While one player described the mode as being a “glorified King of the Hill style game mode” another user was quick to say, “And glorious it is”.

Some players have even taken to trying to domesticate the seal with one player going as far as to enable a number of plugins to do just that. It seems this latest edition has even convinced some players to return to the game such as user Blueroflmao. They said, “I had to pick the game up again with the update. The community hasn’t changed a bit and it’s exactly as I remember it. Some people are bats**t insane on their main, there are completely brainless new players doing their thing all over the place, and you can make friends with anyone at any time It’s not super old, but that “LAN-party with friends” feeling is definitely still there.”

Players are all for the addition of the seal. Alongside this, the new update also added a load of brand-new content for players to enjoy. However, no matter what amazing content is added players will never be able to not “cherish the seal” first. In other gaming news, Fortnite leaker reveals two unreleased skins, and fans love them and Starfield fans think the game’s exploration will be better than Skyrim.
