Nintendo has dated 3D adventure Kirby and the Forgotten Land for a March 25 launch on the Nintendo Switch.
The company made the announcement by sharing a new trailer. First announced back in September, the game will mark everyone’s favourite pink balloon’s first own 3D adventure. He’ll be attempting to save the Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack as he travels across a colourful world.
It turns out that many of Kirby’s friends have also found themselves in the Forgotten Lands. Once Kirby rescues them, they’ll make their way to a small town that acts as your base of operations, and will grow as you progress on your journey. You’ll be able to take part in mini-games between levels, including running a cafe, and getting tips and info on special items from Wise Waddle Dee. You’ll even be able to compare your adventure progress & stats with real-world friends through Nintendo Switch Online.
You’ll also be able to play the game co-operatively, as by sharing a Joy-Con a friend can take the role of Bandana Waddle Dee. He’ll use his trusty spear to help Kirby out in a pinch. The Nintendo UK Twitter account has also revealed a couple of Kirby’s new copy abilities. Ranger will let Kirby shoot magical bullets at the enemy, while Drill lets the pink hero drill into the ground.
