The nominations for the 2022 BAFTA Game Awards are now live, with some stiff competition across most of the categories.

It’s arguably one of the closest years it’s been for a few years, with no singular game dominating the nominations. The two games with the most nods are Housemarque’s Returnal and co-op adventure It Takes Two with eight nods each. Close behind them are the seven nominations for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Meanwhile, Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2 both sit pretty on six nominations each.

In fact, it’s been a very good year for brand new IP. Deathloop picked up five nominations, while indie titles Chicory: A Colorful Tale and Unpacking can found themselves on multiple shortlists including the publicly voted EE Game of the Year. The awards themselves take place on April 7 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, hosted once more by Elle Osili-Wood. and you’ll be able to watch proceedings on BAFTA’s official channels, including Twitch, Facebook and YouTube.

Without further ado, here’s the 2022 BAFTA Game Awards nominees in full.
