Overwatch 2 Season 2 has finally arrived and, as always, it brings a plethora of new content to the fray. Much like the previous chapter, this latest season also gives players the chance to purchase a premium Battle Pass full of goodies.

However, purchasing it in the game usually isn’t as simple as it seems. If the rewards you earn aren’t worth what you pay, it can often cause buyer’s remorse. Luckily, we’re here to help you out with your in-game shopping decision.

Here’s all that you need to know before buying the Premier Battle Pass in Overwatch 2.

What’s in the Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass?

In order to get your full money’s worth, you need to know what to expect when you first buy the Premium Battle Pass. As always, you’ll have two choices when upgrading the BP. This includes the regular option, which costs 1000 Overwatch Coins or $9.99/£8.39. This choice unlocks the new hero, Ramattra, the Legendary Soldier: 76 Bug Hero skin, a Cerberus weapon charm, and a 20% XP boost for the entire season.

You can also opt for the more expensive version, which automatically unlocks 20 additional tiers in the BP. This boost will help you gain access to the Epic Cobra Queen Symmetra skin and the Legendary Poseidon Ramattra skin. It also gives you a variety of Voice Lines, Weapon Charms, Sprays, and even a Victory Pose among others. Keep in mind, though, that this selection costs 2200 Overwatch Coins or $19.99 depending on your region.

Is the Overwatch 2 Season 2 Premium Battle Pass worth it?

As always, the choice lies solely on your play style and your preferences. If you’re a hardcore OW 2 player that loves grinding out levels and ranks in the game, then the Premium BP will always be a must buy for you. However, if you’re only a casual fan of this title who likes playing it for fun, then the additional in-game content might not be as valuable to you.

The 20% XP boost for a full season, though, is always a nice enhancement to have as it makes leveling incredibly easier. Additionally, the skin rewards by themselves have always been an aesthetically pleasing reward that comes with it.

With the season’s end still far off, you’ll have plenty of time to decide on whether you want to buy it or not. Just remember not to leave it too late or you’ll miss out on all the rewards inside.
