This time, Nintendo fans are curious to know if the magical title developed by Avalanche Software will be playable on the Switch.
Is Hogwarts Legacy On Switch?
Yes, Hogwarts Legacy will be playable on the Switch and is already available for pre-order. It will similarly be released on multiple systems including the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
However, the Nintendo Switch edition will take a little extra time to get here. Originally, the release date for the Nintendo Switch edition was set for July 25, 2023. Unfortunately, this was then met with a further delay in May, as Warner Bros announced the game will now not arrive on the Nintendo Switch until November 14, 2023.
Why is Hogwarts Legacy delayed on Switch?
It’s important to note, though, that those playing on the Switch may experience some performance issues. Since it’s a relatively less powerful machine compared to its counterparts, a few prevalent problems such as poor frame rates could be a common occurrence.
Numerous titles have suffered from similar problems after being released on the Nintendo console with Sonic Frontiers and Sports Story being some of the more recent ones. With Hogwarts Legacy in particular being a graphically demanding title, the open world entry may soon follow in the footsteps of its peers.

If you really want to experience it with the convenience that only handheld consoles can bring, then we recommend getting it on the Steam Deck instead. WB Games Support has already confirmed that their entry will be Steam Deck-verified, which means that it should run smoothly on Valve’s powerful portable system once it’s released.
With the launch date still a while out, there’s still plenty of time to decide which console you want to play on. But whichever one you settle on, the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy should bring an enjoyable experience to everyone that plays it.
