A new report claims Ubisoft is working on a sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising and a new Prince of Persia game.

The report comes from Xfire’s Tom Henderson, who claims that Ubisoft is planning a big showcase event later this year. Citing “several sources with direct knowledge” of the publisher’s plans, it’s claimed this event would’ve taken place before E3. However, the event has apparently been put on hold due to “recent world events”.

The showcase, Henderson claims, was to include around 20 games. They include a sequel to 2020 action-adventure Immortals: Fenyx Rising. As per Henderson, the sequel is still in an early pre-production phase, and Ubisoft’s Quebec studio is still at the hiring stage. There’s no other details at this early point, however.

Another title the report claims is in the works is a new Prince of Persia offering. This game is a separate project from the ongoing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake. In fact, it’ll take the form of a classic 2.5D title, like the Prince’s original 1989 adventure. According to the report, Ubisoft Montpellier is taking inspiration from Moon Studios’ Ori series. Once again, however, further details are still foggy at this early stage.

Elsewhere, the report claims the event would’ve also offered updates on a number of other Ubisoft titles. Notably, those would include Skull and Bones, Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Assassin’s Creed Infinity. It’s also apparently where the studio would’ve unveiled the recently-rumoured Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla spin-off, Assassin’s Creed: Rift.

At the time of writing, there’s been no confirmation from Ubisoft, so take this with a pinch of salt. Still, it looks like the publisher has a no less busy slate ahead of them over the next few months/years.
