MW2: How To Unlock Minibak

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s wide array of playable game modes are littered with a multitude of usable weapons.

Though the game has received plenty of plaudits throughout its release, it has also experienced its fair share of initial issues much like any other title. A specific problem that players seem to have is certain weapons are not unlocking, even after completing the required objectives in-game.

A particular weapon that players may want to use but are having trouble accessing is the quick-firing sub-machine gun, the Minibak. Here’s how you can unlock it in MW2.

How to unlock the Minibak Sub-Machine Gun in MW2

Players can unlock the Minibak by progressing through the Kastovia weapon platform in MW2. In order to advance through the platform, you’ll need to gain access to all of the weapons included in it.

First, you’ll need to unlock the Kastov 762, which can be completed by reaching Level 23 in Military Ranks in MW2. Afterwards, you’ll have to gain experience with the Kastov 762 to reach Level 12 which will unlock the Kastov 545.

In addition, you will then need to use the Kastov 545 in MW2 until it reaches level 13 which will unlock the Kastov 74-U. Subsequently, you’ll also need to use the Kastov-74U until it reaches Level 15, which unlocks the Vaznev-9K.

This is the part where it gets confusing for most players. Although the in-game platform states that the Vaznev-9K has to reach Level 14 to unlock the Minibak, doing this doesn’t actually let you access the sub-machine gun.

Instead of following the platform route in MW2, you’ll have to gain additional experience with the Kastov 74-U until you reach Level 18. Only then will you unlock the Minibak weapon.
